Tucked away down quiet country roads, away from the towns and villages, surrounded only by rolling countryside, bleeting sheep, wildlife, fauna and possibly a handful of similar rural holiday cottages in the same complex are our collection of rural retreats.

Switching off from the outside world could not be easier when you are surrounded by the countryside.  With walks from the door stretching miles before meeting your neighbours, this is your chance to become a recluse and recharge your batteries before heading back to the day to day grind of everyday life.

Reflections at Netherby is a great example of a rural retreat, the mirrored exterior reflects the trees around you making you feel you are encompassed in woodland.  In the grounds of the owners home there are a total of 5 holiday cottages, none of which are overlooked and each sleep 2, you may never get to meet your fellow holidaymakers.

Bassenthwaite Farm Cottage sits in the Bassenthwaite fells in the grounds of a working farm, take walks from the door over the fells or head to Bassenthwaite for a picnic by the lake before returning to your cottage hidden away from the rest of the world.
