Being only 2.5 miles from Junction 33 of the M6, it is an ideal stop over base for people travelling north or south or for those looking to explore further afield.

Dolphinholme is a historic village with a history dating back to the 18^th and 19^th centuries and it played an important part in the industrial revolution.  Now the sleepy village has a tennis court, bowling green and fishing park with 6 fishing lakes stocked with carp, mixed coarse, pike and catfish to challenge both the novice and experienced angler alike.
