The hamlet of Sebergham sits on the lower slopes of the Caldbeck Fells, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life surrounded by rolling countryside. Midway between Carlisle and Penrith the area is ideal for a relaxing break to recharge batteries away from the hustle and bustle of villages and towns. Shops, bars and restaurants are only 20 minutes away in Carlisle or Penrith in either direction, Lake Ullswater is 10 minutes beyond Penrith and the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake is 20 minutes east making it an ideal base to explore northern Cumbria and the Lake District.
The pretty village of Caldbeck is a 10 minute drive with duck pond, stream, church, milk shed, cafes and pub. Fells walks across the Caldbeck Fells reward you with panoramic views to Bassenthwaite Lake and beyond, to the Solway Firth and across to Scotland on a clear day. There are a number of disused quarries in the area where rock climbers are regularly found traversing the walls.
If you are lucky enough to stay during a solar flare, the area offers the perfect viewing points from which to see the Aurora or on clear nights enjoy the many stars that twinkle across the night sky.
