You may recognise us, David and Julia Hogarth, we have a wealth of experience in the holiday letting market having successfully built from scratch and sold 2 agencies previously, Cumbrian Cottages and Lakes Cottage Holidays.
Many of our previous owners we are now pleased to call friends, we are aware from conversations with them and through letting our own cottages there is no longer a personal touch as all the local agencies are now part of much bigger groups with head offices elsewhere.
Gail has worked with us for 30 years helping build up our previous agencies and in her previous role looked after our owners and was always the first point of contact ensuring she had a knowledge of any issues. Our owners were always confident they were in ‘good hands’ when dealing with her.
We have all lived in Cumbria and brought our families up here, running successful holiday letting agencies. We are extremely knowledgeable about the whole of Cumbria and the Lake District with over 100 years experience between us and we know what owners and holidaymakers are looking for, ‘a personal touch’ is high on everyone’s list along with advice on how to get the best out of their investment or holiday, we are happy to answer any questions you may have.

What happens next?
It is really easy to get started with us, simply give us a call for a chat or to arrange a suitable time for us to meet you at your cottage where we can enjoy a cuppa together while we get to know each other.
We will talk through how we operate and differ form other agents and answer any questions you may have. We will offer advice on how to maximise your income taking your personal circumstances into consideration.
If you are ready to start marketing your cottage we will take photos. We will then agree rental prices and prepare a description for your approval before adding your cottage to our website.
