TERMS AND CONDITIONS

2. The competition is open to registered users of Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, aged 18 or over, who are residents in the UK. The competition opens at 12.30pm (GMT) on Wednesday 5th November 2025 and closes at 11:55pm (GMT) on Sunday 30^th November 2025.  Any applications received before or after these times will not be considered.

2. The promoter of this competition is Cumbrian Cottage Holidays, Geltsdale, Plains Road, Wetheral, CA4 8LA.

3. No employees, their families or agencies of Cumbrian Cottage Holidays are eligible to apply.

4. No purchase is necessary to apply. Cumbrian Cottage Holidays has the right to withdraw the offer at any time without notice.

5. By entering the competition, the entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

6. Entry requirements for the competition are set out in the entry instructions, as outlined in the relevant posts on the Cumbrian Cottage Holidays Facebook and Instagram pages. Only by following these instructions are entrants included in the competition draw.

7. The entry requirement for this competition is as per below:

8. Entrants using multiple Facebook, Instagram or TikTok accounts will be disqualified and Entries must comply with the terms and conditions of Facebook, Instagram and or TikTok. Multiple entries in a single day will not be accepted.

9. Use of an automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification.

10. One winner will be chosen at random from all of the correct entries after the competition closes and will be contacted on Monday 1^st December 2025 via a reply to their winning comment and via direct message in order to arrange their prize – a 2 night mid-week stay for 2 guests at Waters Edge, Talkin Tarn, from 5th January to 13th February 2026, subject to availability. 11. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection of the winning entries.

12. The winner will be notified within 1 day of the competition’s closing date. All reasonable endeavours will be made to contact the winner during this time. If a winner cannot be contacted within 14 days of the closing date, Cumbrian Cottage Holidays reserves the right to select an alternative winner from the entries which have been received before the closing date.

14. The winner must provide their name, address, email addresses and telephone number to Cumbrian Cottage Holidays to organise their prize, along with any required information pertaining to the booking.

15. The winners consent to Cumbrian Cottage Holidays announcing their name publicly on their Facebook and Instagram pages as a prize winner, making copies of or publishing the whole or any part of the entry and otherwise exploiting the entry and any rights in relation to the entry for any purpose and without compensation. If you do not agree to this, please do not enter the competition.

16. Cumbrian Cottage Holidays reserves the right to substitute similar alternatives of equal or greater value. Unless otherwise agreed in writing with Cumbrian Cottage Holidays, the prize will only be awarded directly to the winner.

17. The winner may not exchange the prize for cash or other cash alternative.

18. Cumbrian Cottage Holidays reserves the right to cancel this competition and entry process at any stage, or amend these terms and conditions at any time, without notice or compensation, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.

19. Should the competition be cancelled, Cumbrian Cottage Holidays is not liable for any loss of money or expense incurred by entrants or the winner.

20. By entering, entrants understand that they are providing their information to Cumbrian Cottage Holidays and not to Facebook, Instagram or TikTok. This competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram or TikTok. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the promotion will be directed to Cumbrian Cottage Holidays not Facebook, Instagram or TikTok.

21. The information entrants provide will be used by Cumbrian Cottage Holidays for the purpose of conducting this competition. Cumbrian Cottage Holidays may disclose entrants’ personal information to its contractors and agents to assist in conducting this competition or communicating with entrants.

22. The position and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
