Castle Carrock nestles in the Cumbrian countryside east of Carlisle at the foot of the Pennines. The village itself has an award winning pub, The Duke of Cumberland, delicious home cooked meals and local ales can be enjoyed. The village is surrounded by rolling countryside, the beauty spots of Talkin Tarn and Castle Carrock reservoir are both close by. The market town of Brampton is a 10 minute drive with shops, bars and restaurants, or head to the County capital Carlisle for a night at the cinema, shopping at the Lanes or explore the historical Castle and Cathedral. If historical sites are of interest Hadrian’s Wall and Lanercost Priory are both within a short drive. The Lake District is just over an hours drive away as is Newcastle with its cosmopolitan night life and the Metro Centre at Gateshead for all your designer brand shops.

Full of character the cottage is part of a beautiful Grade II listed building with some unusual architectural features. There is a glass fronted dining room with a Juliet balcony on the first floor which overlooks the reservoir. There is a private enclosed garden with hot tub overlooking the views.

The upside down style accommodation has gas central heating and comprises: Living room with a wood burning stove, a 40” LCD TV, 3D Blueray/DVD player and Bluetooth enabled sound system. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer. Dining room.

Ground floor master bedroom with super king size bed and en-suite wet room with hand basin and WC. Second bedroom with super king size bed that can convert to twin beds on request and twin bedroom (these beds can be linked together). Bathroom with bath, hand basin and WC. There is an additional bed/day bed in the tower room on the second floor.

All utilities, logs, bed linen, towels, bathrobes and slippers provided. 2 dogs welcome. Ample private parking. Enclosed garden with table and chairs for outdoor dining and hot tub.
