Set in the “Gateway to the Lakes,” The Loft, Penrith offers welcoming accommodation just a short stroll from Penrith’s bustling town centre. With shops, pubs, cafés, restaurants, and takeaways right on your doorstep, you’ll be perfectly placed whether you’re after a family meal, a relaxing drink, or an evening of live entertainment. Tucked away at the end of a quiet alley and accessed via an external flight of stone steps, this charming hideaway offers a peaceful setting while still being opposite the bus station—ideal for exploring Cumbria and beyond.

Inside, the Loft has been thoughtfully furnished to create a homely, comfortable atmosphere. The spacious entrance hall provides plenty of room for walking boots or bikes, leading into a cosy open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area. Comfy seating surrounds a Smart TV, perfect for catching up on your favourite shows or enjoying a Netflix film. Meals can be savoured at the dining table or a leisurely morning coffee while planning the day ahead. The well-equipped kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave, coffee machine, and dishwasher.

Upstairs, you’ll find two bedrooms—one with a king-size bed and the other with a single bed. A family bathroom with a shower over the bath, basin, and WC.

All electric, bed linen and towels are included, with a cot and highchair available for little ones. Two well behaved dogs welcome. Please note: access is via an external stone staircase, which may not be suitable for those with mobility concerns, and there is no private parking. However, Penrith operates a disc parking scheme during the day, and a car park is conveniently located opposite. Guests also share a courtyard with neighbouring Woodman’s Cottage, complete with table and chairs for al fresco dining or relaxed afternoons.
