At the heart of the barn is the impressive full-height, open-plan living space. Sink into the comfortable seating in front of the wood-burning stove, pour a glass of wine and settle in for a cosy evening together, perhaps catching up on a favourite film on the Smart TV. The well-equipped kitchen has everything needed for leisurely breakfasts or romantic dinners for two, including a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and coffee machine. A separate utility room houses a washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer.

Outside is where Stonethwaite becomes particularly special. The private enclosed garden is made for unhurried evenings beneath the Cumbrian skies. Undercover seating means you can make the most of this tranquil setting whatever the weather.
Guests are also welcome to wander through the owners’ beautifully maintained gardens, where fragrant flower beds, quiet seating areas and far-reaching countryside views provide peaceful corners in which to sit, relax and enjoy the surroundings.
