Converted from one of the barns, the cottage is now a mixture of contemporary living combined with the traditional features of the barn including beams and sandstone window sills. The first floor, cosy living room has a wood burning stove to keep you toasty and views over the rolling countryside to Mell Fell. If your idea of the perfect holiday is to wake up on a morning, pull on your walking boots and explore the mountains from your doorstep, then this is where you need to be. Surrounded by the Ullswater fells, there are walks in abundance, places of interest including Dalemain House only a short drive away and the sparkling waters of Lake Ullswater and Pooley Bridge with shops, bars and restaurants is 2 miles.
The ground floor kitchen is equipped to rustle up dinner with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, air fryer, microwave and washer/dryer. Enjoy your meals at the breakfast bar whilst planning your next Lake District adventure. On the ground floor the master bedroom has a king size bed and original beams. Freshen up in the spacious bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle.
The cosy lounge is on the first floor to take advantage of the views to Mell Fell. Original beams adorn the ceiling and velux windows flood the room with natural light. Comfy seating is positioned around the wood burning stove and Smart TV. You will also find the second double bedroom on this floor with a canopy of beams.

If you prefer to see the lake at a gentler pace, embark on a scenic cruise aboard the Ullswater Steamers, gliding across the lake's shimmering waters and taking in the breathtaking scenery. Hop off at the stops along the way and explore the local beauty spots or tackle the Ullswater Way, a 20 mile circular route around the lake, in stages.
