The apartment is perched above a small parade of shops only a few minutes walk from Lake Windermere, (enjoy lake cruises, watersports or family picnics) and numerous pubs and restaurants catering for the fussiest of taste buds to fine dining experiences and friendly pubs tempting you in with real ales and live music within a few minutes walk. The second floor apartment is the perfect base from which to experience the delights of Bowness and Lake Windermere no matter what time of year you plan to visit.
The second floor apartment has electric heating throughout. The light and airy open plan lounge/kitchen has views across the roof tops to Lake Windermere with the fells towering above, comfy leather sofas surround the TV with DVD player, settle down after your days adventure to watch a movie together. The kitchen is equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave and dishwasher, rustle up lunch or dinner to be enjoyed at the dining table. As evening descends freshen up in the bathroom with hand held shower hose over bath and hand basin before heading to one of the 2 comfy bedrooms, a double and twin, promising a restful nights sleep.
All electric, bed linen and towels provided. Cot and highchair available. Private permit parking for 1 car with additional on street parking nearby. Please note Quarry Rigg do not allow guests to bring dogs, however owners are permitted to bring their own dogs, this property may not therefore be suitable for guests with pet allergies. Please also note there is no lift access to this apartment.
Bowness on Windermere really is the perfect mix of culture, entertainment and attractions. With England’s largest lake on your doorstep, watersports and lake cruises, where you can hop on/off at different locations enables you to explore the lake and surrounding attractions without using the car. The village has numerous shops, pubs, restaurants and art galleries along with popular visitor attractions such as The World of Beatrix Potter and The Old Laundry Theatre. The neighbouring twin town of Windermere has a train and bus station making it accessible for all and with regular buses around the Lake District, it is a great way to explore the area and see the sights without the need for a car. The popular villages of Ambleside, Grasmere, Kendal and Troutbeck are a short drive and Keswick and Lake Ullswater are both less than an hours drive through some stunning mountain scenery.
