If you are dreaming of a fairytale style, romantic escape with a difference then Heron Way, Ivegill is where your dreams will come true. The lodge has been lovingly hand made by the owners to provide quirky accommodation that compliments the woodland setting. Bringing nature to your door, the partially covered decking at the lodge is a place to reconnect with each other and listen to the sounds of birds and the gentle flow of the river Ive 20 metres away. The decking with an outdoor bath, swing seat, fire pit and seating will soon become a place you will never want to leave. The lodge is one of 3 located amongst woodland on the owners working dairy farm, overlooking a natural pond and stream where frogs, newts, herons, ducks and moorhens call home, and deer, squirrels, hares, badgers and foxes can be observed wandering and foraging in the woodland. Inside the lodge the nature theme continues with a bespoke wooden bed, natural flooring and reclaimed and upcycled shower room door and furniture complimented with colourful furnishings all with a nod to nature. Approached by a ¼ mile farm lane to a shared car park for three cars then a winding woodland path downhill into the valley (can be steep) you are truly at one with each other and nature, yet within a 15 minute drive in either direction you will come to the border city of Carlisle or the market town of Penrith both with a wealth of shops, bars, restaurant and attractions.

The lodge is approached by a moderately steep path from the shared car park and down 2 steps on to the decked walked way. The open plan living area has comfy seating in front of the patio doors bringing nature into the room, there is a upcycled dining table for romantic meals for 2 and a Smart TV. The kitchenette is perfect for rustling up light meals and has a double gas hob, fridge and coffee machine. The bespoke handmade king size bed continues the nature theme into the bedroom and offers the perfect base for a restful nights sleep. There is a walk in shower room with a quirky hand basin for freshening up ready to start your day of adventure. Outside the partially covered decking has an outdoor bath, swing seat, patio table and chairs for al fresco dining or just enjoying a glass of wine as the sunsets and a fire pit (logs provided) for chillier evenings.
