There is plenty to do and see in the surrounding area of the cottage with some of the best mountains waiting to be conquered and Coniston Water for fishing and water sport activities on the doorstep. For days you prefer to stay closer to home there is a selection of books for quiet relaxation and the selection of supplied games are sure to bring the family together for fun and laughter.
Green Beck Cottage Coniston is accessed by a small courtyard garden to the front of the cottage and is heated with electric heating throughout and a cosy open fire in the living room, keeping you warm and toasty no matter the weather outside. Comfy seating is placed around the fire and TV with Freeview, relax with family and friends after a day’s exploring and watch a movie from one of the DVDs provided. The dining kitchen is equipped with everything needed to enjoy a home cooked meal including electric oven and hob, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and Dolce Gusto coffee machine (please bring your own pods). Enjoy your freshly prepared feast around the cottage dining table, linger after dinner and reflect on your days adventure or challenge each other to one of the games provided.
As the day ends, freshen up in the bathroom with shower over bath before retiring to one of the 3 bedrooms. With 2 double bedrooms and a single bedroom the cottage is perfect for couples or families looking for a central base in the popular village of Coniston.
All Economy 7 electric, starter pack of coal, bed linen and towels are provided. There is private parking for 1 car with additional guest spaces close by. Dog friendly with 2 well behaved dogs welcome. The rear garden is equipped with garden furniture and a BBQ.

The village of Coniston nestles amidst stunning scenery and offers a perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and natural beauty. Coniston Water creates a perfect backdrop for your getaway with water sport activities, fishing, lake cruises and rowing boats to hire. The lake is where Donald Campbell attempted his world speed record, and the iconic Bluebird now makes Coniston its home. Coniston Old Man is a must when staying here, the panoramic views over the surrounding fells and lake are breathtaking. The quaint village has a variety of shops offering local crafts and souvenirs, cosy bars serving up traditional ales, and restaurants dishing out delicious fare made from fresh, local ingredients. Lake Windermere, England’s largest Lake and Scafell, England’s highest mountain are within a short drive, as are the characterful villages of Hawkshead, Ambleside and Grasmere. Beach walks can be enjoyed along the Morecambe Bay coastline also just a short drive away, make sure you stay long enough to see the sun set, some of the most spectacular sunsets can be witnessed over the Solway Coast.
