Overview

Silverdale Cottage is all ground floor accommodation and is a warm and cosy, home from home, perfect for a romantic break at any time of year where you can take leisurely walks amongst breathtaking scenery. Guests can relax in the immaculate enclosed garden next to the pond, bordered by trees the garden provides a quiet and secluded retreat, on a warm sunny day unwind on the sun loungers provided or dine al fresco. Step inside to the light and airy lounge and unwind in front of the Smart TV or enjoy quiet time in the conservatory with a good book. The cottage is conveniently based close to the centre of the village, leave your car parked in the private driveway and head to the village centre with shops, pubs and restaurants less than half a mile away or head to the beach just 400 yards away to take in the scenic vistas of Morecambe Bay.

The cottage is gas centrally heated and comprises: Lounge with comfy sofa and chairs around the electric fire and Smart TV. Dining room perfect for enjoying a romantic meal together. Conservatory overlooking the garden with dining table and comfy chairs, the perfect spot for lazy days and catching up on a novel. Prepare a delicious meal for two in the fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, double electric oven, gas hob, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. Utility room with washing machine and mini freezer. At the end of the day retire to the double bedroom overlooking the garden with king size bed and bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and WC.

All gas, electric, bed linen and towels provided. Ample private parking. Garden with bench, pond, bistro set for al fresco dining and sun loungers provided.

The village of Silverdale has shops, restaurants and pubs, sitting on the Lancashire/Cumbria border on the shores of Morecambe Bay, in the Arnside and Silverdale area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it won't take long to see why the area has this title. Surrounded by miles of beaches for romantic walks on the beach or along the cliff tops, the views from Arnside Knott are breath taking, Silverdale is known for its salt marches, grassland and limestone hills making it a haven for wildlife. The RSPB Leighton Moss sanctuary, with more than 100 species of birds, is a short drive and bird lovers can spend many hours spotting the many different birds visiting the area. The seaside town of Arnside with promenade lined with restaurants, bars and boutique shops is also close by and worth visiting. For the days you want to explore further afield the Lake District, including Bowness on Windermere, Kendal and Cartmel (the food capital of the south Lakes) are all less than an hour drive or take the short train journey from Silverdale, through Arnside and over the estuary by way of the iconic Viaduct to Grange over Sands and the Yorkshire Dales and the Ingleton Waterfalls are a 30 minute drive, Carnforth is 4.5 miles and the university city of Lancaster is 8 miles away.
