Brigham is a rural village located 2 miles west of the market town of Cockermouth in the western Lake District. The village of Broughton is just over a mile away with a well stocked village shop and a choice of 3 village pubs, enjoy a meal washed down with a local ale. Cockermouth has a tree lined high street with shops, pubs and restaurants all tempting you in, probably best known for its connections with William Wordsworth who lived here before making Grasmere his home.

The western Lake District is much quieter than the tourist hot spots of Keswick and Windermere but the scenery is equally rewarding. Crummock Water, Ennerdale Water, Buttermere and Wast Water are all easily reached as is Loweswater being the closest lake and just a 15 minute drive. Spend a day in Keswick, just a short drive, with numerous shops, bars, restaurants, attractions and Derwentwater, where lake cruises and water sport activities can be enjoyed.

The Solway coast is 10 miles away with breathtaking sunsets and miles of sandy beaches to explore. The coast to coast cycle route is also easily reached for those wanting to explore by bike.
